Threading Tools for Turning Lathes
On the upcoming trade show „Turning Days“, BASS will present its powerful threading tools for the use on turning lathes.
With the AVANT H25, the BASS catalogue programme contains a cutting tap which has been developed especially for use on lathes. Its special geometry stands for a constant high tool life and a wide range of materials. Thanks to the chamfer form E, the AVANT H25 is perfectly suited for short thread run-outs, which are widely used in turned parts, hydraulic and pneumatic valves.
In combination with the HL coating, the special cutting edge and flute geometry produces short spiral chips even when machining long-chipping materials. The chips are easily removed in the 25° spiral flutes even in blind holes up to 2xD. The excellent guiding properties enable the use of the standard tool even under unstable operating conditions. The tap is available from stock in the thread types metric, metric fine and G-pipe thread, as well as in the tolerances 6HX and 6GX.
As a non-cutting alternative, BASS will present the DURAMAX H BT thread former at the Turning Days. High process reliability and cutting speeds, as well as the absence of any chip problems, make thread forming an attractive alternative for the machining of turned parts.
Further information about the AVANT H25 and thread forming with BASS can be found at booth D13 in hall A3, Friedrichshafen. We are looking forward to welcoming you on our stand!
