BASS expands management team
Takashi Gamano and Oliver Schunter strengthen our management team.
Since December 2019, BASS and its 150 employees are part of the Japanese OSG Group, the world's largest manufacturer of shank tools. From now on, Takashi Gamano and Oliver Schunter will strengthen the management of the tradition-rich German company.
Takashi Gamano will be responsible for sales, application technology and marketing at BASS. As CFO (Chief Financial Officer), Oliver Schunter will take over the coordination of the financial key figures within the German OSG Group. Martin Zeller, Managing Director at BASS since 2001, will continue in the same position to lead production, personnel and quality management, as well as IT and engineering. He welcomes the reinforcement of the management and emphasizes the resulting opportunities to strengthen and expand the location in Niederstetten.
Hideaki "Bobby" Osawa was also present to introduce the extended management team. Mr Osawa is Managing Director and Board Member of OSG EUROPE, Managing Officer and Board Member of OSG Corporation, grandson of the OSG founder Hideo Osawa and member of the founder family as well as shareholder of the OSG which is listed on Japan stock exchange.
In a short address to the employees of BASS, Bobby Osawa expressed his pleasure to increase the momentum in Niederstetten with the expanded team and thus to strengthen the positions of BASS as well as OSG as leading companies in the threading tool industry.
