New regional commander

In a festive ceremony, Dr. Stefanie Leenen was appointed Commander for the Tauber-Franconian region.

The managing director of the family-owned company BASS located in Niederstetten, is thus the direct successor of Dr. Mathias Borst, Chief Physician of the medical clinic at the Caritas Hospital in Bad Mergentheim.

The position of the Tauber-Franconian Commander underlines the commitment of the Niederstetten army pilots for a harmonious cooperation with the city and the entire region. The IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) vice-president Dr. Stefanie Leenen wants to strengthen this bridge and, in particular, further develop relations with the local economy.

In the presence of around 320 guests from business, politics, the general public and the German Army, Dr. Stefanie Leenen was ceremoniously appointed to the one-year honorary position by Colonel Peter Göhringer, Commander of the Transport Helicopter Regiment 30 in Niederstetten.

The managing director of BASS grew up only two kilometres from the military airfield. "I am very happy about the appointment as Tauber-Franconian Commander", says Dr. Leenen. "The Hermann-Köhl barracks have shaped Niederstetten for me since my childhood, with the good old Bell helicopter above us and many soldier families who have enriched my hometown. With excitement and anticipation, the family entrepreneur looks forward to her forthcoming term in this position and to joint activities.
