Women on the Verge of a nervous Breakdown

The open-air theater in the „Tempele“ that is supported by BASS brings the successful Broadway musical from New York to Niederstetten.

From the screen to the stage, from New York to Niederstetten: on the 17th of July, the romantic comedy “Women on the Verge of a nervous Breakdown” celebrates its premiere in the open-air theater in the “Tempele”.

Shrill, wired and a little bit absurd: This is how Pedro Almodóvars movie “Women on the Verge of a nervous Breakdown” that was released in 1988 appears at the first sight. However, this was not the only reason why the most internationally successful Spanish scriptwriter and director was awarded with the Golden Globe and Oscar nominations as well as with numerous film prizes and why he has managed the international successful breakthrough. The situation comedy for which Almodóvar wrote the script deals with passionate love relationships and the deep desire for love and nearness for which the protagonists sometimes even use rigorous means. This strive is described by Almodóvar in a clever and enjoyable way with crazy humor and lenient sarcasm.

In Niederstetten, there are about 150 players who work on and off stage. Among them are professionals to guarantee a brilliantly staged play. Over the past few years, the well-established team has already shown that it has a knack for good theatre. “Women on the Verge of a nervous Breakdown” promises to be a cultural highlight within the Main-Tauber region again.

We as a main sponsor are double pleased about the “original and fast-paced comedy of mistaken identities” (newspaper “Fränkische Nachrichten”) because BASS offers every employee the opportunity to enjoy an entertaining evening in a gorgeous setting for free.
We wish everyone involved a successful festival and our employees unforgettable moments.
